Students and staff in Rochester Public Schools were Dressed for Success Tuesday during the second day of Tri-City Career Spirit Week!
The focus of the second day of the week-long focus on the value and importance of Career Technical Education saw students dress up as if they were going to a job interview as the day’s announcements and activities focused on appropriate attire and behavior in business settings.
Each day this week will have a different theme and will begin with announcements focused on Career Technical Education, as well as age-appropriate activities and exercises to follow.
Students and staff are reminded that Wednesday’s theme is You Are a “Jean”ius, with members of the school community encouraged to wear denim as announcements and activities focus on students learning to appreciate their individual intelligence, talents and positive traits.
Rochester Mayor Paul Callaghan has declared this week Career Technical Education Week in the City of Rochester in recognition of the value that CTE holds for all grade levels and the entire community.
The week-long focus on Career Technical Education is being conducted in conjunction with neighboring school districts in Dover and Somersworth, and is part of Rochester Public School’s move to begin introducing students to Career Technical Education at all grade levels, instead of in just middle school and high school.
