Rochester Public Schools Shares Video about Kindergarten Registration Process
Superintendent Kyle Repucci wishes to share a video with families about registering for the district’s kindergarten program for the 2021-22 school year.
In the video, district administrators, educators and community members share information about the program, how to register and tips to help register their child.

“Thank you to Early Childhood Special Educator Jessica Heald, the Rochester Early Childhood Coalition, and our elementary principals for their recent work to produce a video for our families,” Superintendent Repucci said. “We hope this video will help answer questions families may have about the registration process, which remains open for the coming school year.”
Registration for the 2021-22 kindergarten program began on Feb. 1 and families are encouraged to register as soon as possible. A parent or guardian must complete a kindergarten registration packet and may do so in-person at the District Office, 150 Wakefield St., from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the week. They also may download the packet and complete it online at the district webpage here.
To register, a parent or guardian must fill out a registration packet. The following records also must be submitted:
- Copy of a valid birth certificate
- Updated record of immunization and physical record
- Proof of residency (i.e. completed lease, closing statement, telephone, electric or cable bill envelopes with yellow forwarding postal sticker, payroll check, bank statement or doctor’s bill)
- Legal/court paperwork (if applicable)
Items that will not be accepted as proof of residency include property tax bills, water and sewer bills, vehicle registrations, driver’s licenses and post office boxes.
Children will not be assigned to a school until all registration paperwork is submitted. Additionally, children may not start school until their birth certificate, immunization records and physical exam have been processed by Rochester Public Schools.
Parents or guardians who have questions about the registration process can call 603-332-3678 or visit the district’s website at rochesterschools.com.
